In 2010, Didier Lubberiaga and his wife Stephanie came to Québec from the Basque Country to buy a farm in Ste-Agnès, a small village located in the Charlevoix region.
The cheesemaking began in 2015. Their cheeses are highly inspired by the owner’s origin. The recipes actually come from a goatherd who used to provide them with fresh and aged goat cheese while they had a restaurant back then.
One thing is for sure, the well-being of their animals and the control of the production from A to Z allows them to create cheese of very high quality.
When they began in 2012, they had 20 goat kids and a billy goat. Today, the farm boasts over 200 goats that roam freely. As Didier says, they run the business!
